Back pain has become one of the most common diseases nowadays. Sitting too long, lack of movement, stress and other factors contribute to their emergence.
I have prepared a list of herbal remedies for back pain, but remember that they won’t relieve pain if you suffer from something else.
Don’t lie in bed!
It’s not just a remedy, it’s a warning. The general opinion is that if you stay for a few days in bed, it will surely pass. Nothing more wrong, experts say the long-laying in a horizontal position will only worsen the problem. The best position to lie in bed is to add some pillows under your knees.
Don’t sleep face down because this position forces you to lift your head to breathe, and so you will end with a neck pain. Move every time you find a few free minutes, it helps a lot.
Take a hot bath
Heat helps to increase muscle elasticity, so take a hot bath for 20 minutes. If you add sea salt in the water, it will reduce the inflammation and relieve the back pain and give a pleasant relaxation. It’s one of the most enjoyable natural remedies for back pain, all you have to do is sit in the tub, relaxed for 30 minutes.
Ice reduces inflammation and eliminates discomfort because the nerves no longer send painful signals to the brain. Put an ice pack in a towel and keep it over the affected area for 20-30 minutes.
The bones are made of calcium, and milk has plenty of calcium in it. Women should be careful to include as much calcium as possible in the diet to avoid osteoporosis. To get rid and prevent back pain, you need to consume calcium-rich foods daily that strengthen your bones and protect your spine, such as cabbage, broccoli, spinach, fish and vitamin D-rich foods. You can take extra calcium and magnesium as a complex of vitamins, or you can consume foods rich in magnesium, such as green vegetables, potatoes, bananas, cereals, seeds, milk, fish or soy.
Chamomile tea calms muscle tissue. Add 1 spoon of chamomile flowers to a cup of boiling water, infuse for 15 minutes. Drink up to three daily chamomile infusions to soothe tense muscle tissue.
Following a particular exercises program will strengthen your back muscles and it will improve spine mobility. So, go to the gym or watch the video below to catch the easiest exercises for back pain.
