Everyone, at least once in their lives, struggled with headaches. Most of the time, headaches are day ruiners, forcing you to stay in bed all day long or ingesting painkillers hoping that pain will go away.
Even if the first impulse is taking a painkiller pill, you may consider using other methods in releasing your head from a horrible pain, such as natural remedies.
Personally, I’m not into pharmaceutical products, because, even if they will ease your pain, their side effects are horrible, creating severe damage in your body. so, I better skip pills whenever I’m facing with headaches, as long as there are some home remedies that worth taking it to feel a bit better fast.
1. Essential Oils
You’ll want to try peppermint, lavender, and rosemary essential oils for their pain-busting properties, because the active ingredient in peppermint oil is menthol, which has been found to help relieve headache pain. It’s well known that lavender oil can reduce migraine pain, and rosemary oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-pain properties helpful in quelling pain.
2. Hot Or Cold Compress
When the first signs of headache appear, you better grab on a compress and place it to your forehead. Switch the compresses every 5 minutes.
A migraine attack brings on a long list of miserable symptoms, one of which is the dreaded stomach-turning nausea, but with a cup of ginger tea you’ll keep it at bay.
Caffeine constricts the vessels in the head and for this reason it makes it perfect to relieve headaches.
By pressing certain spots on your body you’ll get instant relief from a headache. and these spots are: between your thumb and index finger, between your pinkie toe and fourth toe, or between your eyebrows.
6. Drink Water
Thankfully, drinking water has been shown to relieve headache symptoms in most dehydrated individuals within 30 minutes to three hours.
7. Relax with Yoga
Practicing yoga is an excellent way to relieve stress, increase flexibility, decrease pain and improve your overall quality of life. So, by taking up yoga may even help reduce the intensity and frequency of your headaches.
By massaging the neck and shoulder muscles you’ll release tension in the muscles, therefore migraines will slowly fade away.
Lack of sleep and too much sleep can be triggers for migraine headaches. Getting 7–9 hours of restful sleep each night can help to reduce stress and prevent migraines.
10. Sip Apple Cider Vinegar
If you take a small sip of apple cider vinegar and keep on your forehead a compress soaked in apple cider vinegar you’ll instant ease your headache.
