Bags under eyes and skin dark spots are inherited, but may be related to aging. Bags under eyes can make you look tired and dark circles can affect your self-esteem. Before resorting to surgical measures or expensive spa treatments, try to eliminate these imperfections with home remedies.
Sleeping bags under the eyes
Lack of sleep is one of the reasons for bags under eyes occurrence, therefore the first thing to prevent is getting enough sleep. Create a sleeping program by going to bed and getting up at the same time. Also, place an extra pillow under your head when you sleep in order to prevent fluid buildup around the eyes.
Tea compresses for eye bags
There are several tea packs that can be placed on the eyes in order to reduce swelling. Apply cool, wet tea bags on your eyes for five minutes. Another remedy that many people use is the application of cold compresses on the eyes. Cold slices of cucumber, a wet cloth or a cold spoon placed on the eyes may help reduce bags under eyes.
Lemon juice for dark spots
The dark spots on the skin, also called age spots or sun spots can be reduced using lemon juice. The natural lemon juice acid lightens the skin. Apply a little lemon juice on the dark spots twice a day and let it dry. The spots will gradually vanish.
Milk for dark spots
Dairy products such as honey and buttermilk contain lactic acid. Lactic acid is present in many commercial products for skin care. Lactic acid has a peeling effect on the skin, promoting cell renewal and lightening skin spots. Another alternative is to use milk as a facial cleanser.
