The most common techniques for wart removal include excisional shave and excisional surgery, which involves skin cutting in order to remove the wart. While these methods work, they are also expensive and invasive.
Fortunately, there are some home remedies that can help get rid of warts naturally. Supporters claim that these remedies work, but these claims have not been backed by the FDA, so you should consult your doctor before starting any new self treatment.
Sea salt, castor oil and lemon juice
A mixture of sea salt, castor oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice can help warts disappear. Mix 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 3 teaspoons of castor oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in a small bowl and stir thoroughly to combine the ingredients. Make a smooth massage with a small amount of the mixture on the wart and let it act for 20-25 minutes. Rinse the skin with cold water, remove the cleanser and apply the moisturizer. This treatment must be repeated every day unless it irritates the skin.
Cumin seeds, dandelion root and milk
A mixture of crushed cumin seeds, dandelion root and milk can be applied topically in order to get rid of warts. Mix 1 teaspoon of crushed cumin seeds, 2 teaspoons of dandelion root and four teaspoons of milk in a food processor and blend for 20-30 seconds. Transfer the mixture into a small container that has a tight-fitting lid and make a gentle massage with a small amount of the mixture on the affected area. Let the mixture sit for five to seven minutes before rinsing with cold water and wash with mild soap. This treatment can be applied daily unless it produces irritation, and can be left in the refrigerator for 48 hours.
Grapefruit essential oil and avocado oil
You can get rid of warts with a mixture made of grapefruit essential oil and avocado oil. To use this mixture, combine 1 part grapefruit essential oil and ten parts of avocado oil in a small bottle. Stir the mixture and apply a thin layer on the skin with a cotton pad. Let the mixture act for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. No need to wash the skin with soap and water after using this treatment unless it causes discomfort.
