Dark circles are often an indicator of age. Today we present 8 effective homemade masks that have the power to reduce dark circles.
Choose one or several recipes and do regular procedures. The results will be visible in the first weeks after starting the treatment. You’ll get rid of those bags and dark spots under the eyes naturally.
Of course, if you want to remove wrinkles and to keep the skin around eyes in perfect condition, you can buy an expensive cream. These homemade masks will supplement the effects of this expensive cream. If you do not have this possibility, the masks will allow you to take care of your skin without spending extra money. Just choose the right recipe. Especially because for that you’ll need simple ingredients such as potatoes, parsley, milk, oatmeal or cucumbers.
1. Oatmeal mask
Pour hot water over a few tablespoons of oatmeal then add 1 egg white (beaten). Mix the ingredients and apply the mask to your lower eyelids.
Wait until dry, about 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water.
You can use cream instead of egg – you will get an excellent moisturizing mask, easy to prepare.
2. Gelatin mask
Pour hot milk over a spoonful of gelatin, in the proportion of 2: 1 and wait until it swells. Put the mixture in the fridge. After cooling the mixture will become thick like a gel.
Apply this composition around the eyes, leave the mask on for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water or remove it with a cotton pad.
3. Natural starch mask
Peel 1 potato, grate it and mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil. Apply the mixture on the area around the eyes. Let the mask act for 20 minutes then remove it with warm water.
Traditional potato-based remedies feed the top layer of the skin, remove dark spots and give the skin suppleness and elasticity.
This hydrating mask is an excellent alternative to expensive creams.
4. Sour cream and parsley mask
Chop a few parsley stalks. Mix a tablespoon of chopped parsley with 2 tablespoons of sour cream and apply the mask around the eyes. Leave it on for 30 minutes, then rinse. This moisturizing mask is perfect for stretching the lower eyelids, but also for removing stains under the eyes.
Parsley is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.
5. Potato mask
An addition to the above recipe: grate 1 potato, wrap it several times in gauze and apply it around the eyes.
After 20 minutes, the eyelid will get a fresh look and will become brighter.
This mask is as effective as the oatmeal mask, but is more easily prepared.
6. Cucumber mask
Cucumber has binding properties that help remove wrinkles and keep the skin young.
Cut two thick slices of cold cucumber and apply them to the eye area. 10-15 minutes later the result will be visible: the skin takes a fresh appearance.
This is a toning mask, but it removes the black spots under the eyes.
7. Yeast and milk mask
You need 20 g of yeast and a tablespoon of warm milk. Mix the ingredients until you get a homogeneous paste. Apply it around the eyes. Once dry, rinse it and apply a day cream to your eyelids.
8. Yeast and lemon mask
Dissolve a tablespoon of yeast until you get a consistent mix (like cream). Add a few drops of lemon juice and half a teaspoon of olive oil.
This moisturizing and toning mask is perfect for mature skin, eliminates wrinkles and gets rid of stains under the eyes.
Whatever recipes you choose, remember: you must apply these masks regularly, at least 2-3 times a week. It is best to do this in the evening.
After a proper care and a good quality sleep the result will soon appear – bright eyes and elastic skin.
