Razor bumps is a common skin problem that appears both in men and women. This is more an aesthetic problem than a skin condition, but it isn’t very pleasant to appear with a rash on your face. It’s often confused with acne, but it’s more like a rash because the skin is more sensitive in that area. The good news is that there are enough methods to prevent and to get rid of razor bumps.
Apple cider vinegar: you can get rid of razor bumps quickly with this remedy because it has anti-inflammatory properties and you’ll get rid of itch and inflammation and at the same time will prevent infection. Damp a cotton pad in apple cider vinegar and apply on the irritated area. Let it dry, rinse with water, and repeat this process 2-3 times a day until the razor bumps are gone.
Cold compresses: Probably the most intuitive treatment for razor bumps (or any other type of irritation) with immediate effect. Put some ice cubes in a thin towel and apply the on the affected area for a few minutes. After every hair removal, apply immediately ice cubes to prevent the appearance of razor bumps, if you know you are prone to this condition.
Baking soda: This ingredient, present in every kitchen, seems to be good at everything, including treating razor bumps. In a glass of water, put a teaspoon of baking soda and mix well. Soften a piece of cotton in this solution and apply it in the irritated area and let it act for minutes. Rinse with cold water and you’ll notice that the situation has improved a lot!
