Varicose veins usually occur because of overweight problems, standing for a long time or simply: genetics. Unfortunately, varicose veins are not just an aesthetic problem but may develop complications such as thrombophlebitis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, or even stroke.
Remedies and exercises to get rid of varicose veins
Adopt a fiber-rich diet and drink plenty of water – vegetables, fruits and cereals encourage peristalsis, that is, those muscles contractions in the digestive tract. If these contractions don’t occur, constipation occurs and the blood pressure in the abdomen increases, thus being a precursor to the blood stream to the lower limbs and weakens the walls of the capillaries over time, causing varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Purple fruits support vascular function
Hawthorn fruits, cherries, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries are extremely beneficial in treating varicose veins. These fruits are rich sources of anthocyanides and proanthocyanides, flavonoids recognized for their positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Other rich sources of flavonoids are buckwheat, grape seed extract, and pine bark.
The easiest exercise is walking, as long as possible. Move your feet! Walking is an excellent way to stimulate blood circulation in the legs.
Instead of using the elevator or staircase, climb stairs. Even if you go for a short walk around the block, you will notice with time that this action will greatly improve your symptoms.
Sit on the floor, lying on your back. The hands will be stretched on both sides of the body or even under the buttocks to prevent friction of the lower back of the floor.
Lift your feet on the floor and pedal like when you are on a bicycle. The higher you raise your feet, the more your blood circulation will increase. On the other hand, keeping your feet less distant from the ground will increase your strength and tone your abdominal muscles.
Unlike legroom elevations that are designed to tone the inner or outer thighs, these lifting holes are designed to improve blood flow throughout the foot.
Spread your back, putting your hands under your buttocks to prevent friction of the lower back of the floor. Hold your buttocks on the floor and press and raise the lower back area on the floor.
Raise one leg and hold it in this position until you feel the blood flowing through the legs and thighs. Repeat the movement with the opposite leg. For the ultimate relaxation, sit on the floor with buttocks supported by the wall.
Rest after exercising
It’s recommended to lift your legs about 15-20 cm above your heart after doing these exercises or others for your feet, especially for those involving large muscles in the lower body.
