Some bad shaving habits may traumatize your skin, making it look inflamed and bumpy. Dry shaving or shaving in the opposite side of hair growth will badly irritate your skin creating some small bumps and irritating hair follicles. Also, high shower temperature has a great impact over your skin: you have to use warm water to open hair follicles.
Some people experience razor bumps because they have curly hair or sensitive skin. This unpleasant skin rash experience can go away without any medical treatment by preventing it or using some fast home remedies.
As a sensitive skin possessor, the next following remedies for razor bumps are like a magic moisturizing for my legs, making it disappear in a few minutes.
- cotton towel
Soak the cotton towel in warm water, and then microwave it for 1-2 minutes. Apply it to the affected area immediately, but make sure not to be hot to worsen your situation.
Important: this remedy works if you apply it immediately after shaving.
After applying the warm compress remedy use turmeric:
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Mix these two ingredients and apply the remedy on the affected area (face or legs). Let it act for 2 hours, and then rinse with lukewarm water.
If 2 hours are too much for you, you can leave this remedy to act at least for 1 hour.
